The recipe that started it all!

Grown-Up Granola Bars will always hold a special place in our hearts. It was one of the first recipes Stephen and I coined as "ours" and was the first recipe ever published on our blog. Today, the recipe remains a favorite among our children, friends, and our wonderful online community. These bars are nutritious, easy to throw together, and perhaps best of all, completely customizable. These bars make a perfect snack or upgraded treat you can enjoy anytime. We can't wait for you to try them!

WHY YOU'LL LOVE THESE BARS

Upgraded Snacking
Compared to store bought, these bars pack in greater nutritional value and less added sugar than the leading name brands. Filled with whole grains, omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, and vitamins and minerals, these bars pack a powerful punch!

Completely Customizable
These bars can be made with any variety of chocolate, fruit, nuts, and seeds and can be adapted to fit a variety of eating patterns. For a gluten free adaptation, read the recipe notes below!

Portable Pick-Me-Up
These bars can go wherever you go! We like to individually wrap them and store them in the fridge until we're ready for our next adventure!

HOW TO MAKE THESE BARS

Step 1
To a large bowl, add all your dry ingredients and stir well to combine.

Step 2
Next, add in your wet ingredients and "add-ins" and fold together until fully mixed.
