Fudgy Almond Flour Brownies

Rich, chewy, and utterly decadent, these flourless brownies are an upgraded twist on a classic dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • ¼ cup avocado or coconut oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 flax egg (1 tablespoon ground flax:3 tablespoon warm water)
  • 1 ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup chocolate chips
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • tsp salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine ground flaxseed and water and whisk to combine. Let sit for 5 minutes, or until mixture has thickened and become viscous.
  • Add remaining ingredients and stir to combine.
  • Pour mixture into a greased 8x8 pan and spread evenly.*
  • Bake for 23-25 minutes, or until set.

Notes

*Mixture will be very thick and sticky - this is how it should be!
